Getting Started
Creating an Account
Sign up at /signup. You'll be asked to create a username, email, and password. Once registered, you'll be prompted to create your first Workspace.
Workspaces
A Workspace is the container for all your events, groups, and team members. You can create multiple workspaces (e.g., one for "Summer Camp 2024" and another for "Winter Retreat") and switch between them instantly.
Creating Events
Navigate to Events > New Event to launch your registration page. You'll configure:

Title, URL slug, description, location, and dates.

Define accommodation options (e.g., "Standard Cabin", "Deluxe Room") with specific capacities and prices.

Form Fields
Build your custom registration form using drag-and-drop fields.
Room & Ticket Tiers
Formbrid enforces strict capacity limits. When you create a Room Tier (e.g., "VIP Suite - Capacity: 10"), the system will automatically:
- Track live occupancy across all registrations.
- Prevent new registrations once the limit is reached.
- Show "Sold Out" status on the public registration page.
Hierarchical Groups
Groups allow you to organize attendees into real-world structures. You can nest groups infinitely to match your organization's hierarchy.

Group Types
Define categories for your groups (e.g., "Region", "District", "Cabin") in Admin > Group Types. This helps in reporting and filtering.
Registration Sheets
Sheets are a powerful feature for delegated registration. Instead of forcing every attendee to register themselves, you can give a group leader a special, password-protected link to register their entire team.
How it works:
- Go to Admin > Sheets and create a new Sheet.
- Assign specific groups to the Sheet (e.g., "District A").
- Set a password and share the link with the leader.
- The leader logs in and can add/edit registrations only for their assigned groups.
Why use Sheets?
Perfect for youth camps where parents sign up children, or corporate events where a manager registers their department.
Managing Registrations
The Registrations tab gives you a powerful data grid to manage your attendees.
Filtering
Filter by payment status, room tier, date range, or any custom form field answer.
Editing
Click any row to open the details drawer. You can update room assignments, change statuses, or edit form answers.
Exports
Export your current view to CSV for external reporting or check-in lists.
Digital Passes
Every registration generates a unique QR code pass, accessible via the public /pass/[code] URL.
Notifications
Formbrid handles communication automatically. We send notifications via Email (AWS SES) and SMS.
Email Notifications
Sent for registration confirmation, cancellations, and room upgrades. Always free.
SMS Notifications
Instant text alerts. Requires SMS Credits which can be purchased in Workspace Settings.
Workspace Settings
Manage your organization's configuration in Settings.
- Team Members: Invite other admins or viewers to your workspace. Control their access with roles.
- Billing: Purchase SMS credits and view payment history.
- General: Update your workspace name and default currency.
